Four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour
this is how fast I travel,
through structures of imagination,
over communities and commerce,
and I am here, in my world,
traveling at four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour.

In my world, I too have what those below me do.
There are about two-hundred people on this plane,
and my ticket cost about three-hundred dollars.

Community and commerce:

just think how far they’ve gotten me—

I’m traveling four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour!

And, earlier, somehow I came into existence as a
conscious being with desire.

And unconsciously, in my infant-state,
I fulfilled my family’s desire,
and through luck, the natural agreement held;
I recieve care, love, education, genetics, resources, privilege.

And this snowballs.

Through my desire,
along with others who push for their desires
and engage in commerce,
I can travel to San Francisco,
at four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour.

This force is not a new idea.

But perhaps a difficult one to swallow,
as there are many others who desire.

And our desires many not always align
so serendipitously as
this flight to San Francisco.

I will not always travel at
four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour,
but until then I will continue to fly
to fulfill what I desire,
traveling at four-hundred and fifty-one miles per hour.
